I hope we can each remember to ring the bells that still can ring and perhaps most importantly, forget the perfect offerings in order to focus on the cracks of light. So simple, so painfully impossible and yet so within reach. Songs like these really help. *hugs*
It is a pretty great song for the likes of us, isn’t it. I’m delighted I was able to introduce you to it. I discovered Leonard Cohen in my teens, and it’s inspiring to see him finally receiving more attention after all these decades.
As for the impossibility, it may seem like a weird way to look at it, but our painful experience make us rich. There is so much in the experience of others that it allows us to understand.
